The Impact of the Instability and Impunity Problem Associated with Ethnic Diversity on Regional Security: The Case of Dagestan

Dagestan today is one of the most experienced republics in North Caucasus Region concerning handling and familiarity with weapons. The important factor having this culture political crises events that took place during Soviet period. It believed source weapons country Chechnya, there have been historical reasons underlying this, as well unique institutions developed parallel ethnic diversity since 1990s. Based on fact influence Russian Federation other countries left Union Socialist Republics (USSR) has not lost even many years before start Ukrainian-Russian war, possibility shaking stability relatively provided nowadays comes to agenda. As much presence these groups makes people nervous, it threatens entire geography terms loss region, ignition a significant conflict Caucasus, and, therefore, region will also be affected by conflict. Considering structure Dagestan, government’s attempts collect weapons, rather than maintaining order increasing public security, cause group high potential from hands another high-potential group, creating perception tool power.
